The beauty of preparing walleye fillets using this delicious and healthy recipe is the simplicity. The whole meal comes together in about 15 minutes and tastes as good as it looks.

For best results, we like to use larger than average walleye fillets, one fish in the 18 to 20 inch size range is ideal for 2 people. When using smaller fish, in the 15 to 17 inch size range, we suggest preparing 4 fillets for 2 people.

Ocassionally, folks tell us that coconut is not high on their list of favorite flavors. That's okay, you can still prepare this dish by substituting avacado oil, combined with butter, and leaving out the organic coconut flakes.

Place walleye fillets on aluminum foil, baste each fillet with Coconut Oil and Butter mixture. Sprinkle on dill and italian seasoning to taste and finish preperation by shaking on a light coating of shredded Coconut.

Place prepared fillets in broiler, to prevent burning, set at low setting, or use air fryer set at 400 degrees. There's no need to flip over the fish, fillets will cook thoroughly without turning.

Cooking time averages about 12 minutes, but varies slightly depending on size of your fillets. Test that fillets are fully cooked with a fork, when flesh begins to flake apart, they are ready for the table.
