Lund Boats Carves out Another Classic
New 2075 Tyee is loaded with fishing (and family) friendly features
New York Mills, Minn. – (Jan. 3, 2014) Fresh from the legendary fishing boat manufacturer, Lund recently engineered an even larger, more athletic sport utility boat - the new 2075 Tyee. The prototypical family fishing rig for the next generation, the 2075 Tyee embodies Lund quality and craftsmanship from bow-to-stern.
“Lund entered the sport utility boat category many years ago with the original Tyee,” says Lund Boats’ Engineering Manager Paul Zarn. “It’s an exceptional, high-performance big water fishing rig, but it’s also one that fits the needs of families. Our goal with the 2075 Tyee was to expand upon our current Tyee line with our largest model yet. Customers were asking for a deeper and larger Tyee for their big water needs, so we expanded our Tyee line into the 20-foot category. We have essentially created one of the largest Tyee’s in our storied history, and we know anglers and families will appreciate the results.”
Among a list of new engineering features, Zarn highlights the 2075 Tyee’s massive aft and topside storage compartments, integrated top hider, two livewells, and new optimized freeboard height.
“For a big water boat, the 2075 Tyee offers a very manageable cockpit depth that is deep and safe in big water. Yet, it is versatile enough that it has an integrated boarding ladder and optional stowable ski pole to convert the boat to a family-friendly watersport rig in seconds, all without sacrificing valuable fishing space.”
The 2075 also offers several special fishing features:
-
Two integrated aft flip-up seats to expand the rear casting deck when not in use
-
A massive in floor center rod locker cradles ten rods up to 8’ long
-
Two livewells, with the rear livewell at 37-inches long (18-gallon capacity), to better protect fish and live bait
-
A custom, deep cycle battery compartment provides space for up to three 12-volt batteries
Also standard is Lund’s exclusive Sport Trak® / Pro-Trak® systems, engineered to offer the ultimate snap-cover fit, plus provide full fishing customization—rod holders, cup holders, etc. placed anywhere in the boat, without drilling holes.
The Lund 2075 Tyee is the new standard in hardcore fishing and family fun. Weighing in at 20-feet, 8-inches and 2,000 pounds, this is one boat that simply is designed to perform in all conditions — serious fishing machine, family-friendly cruiser, 100% Lund quality and craftsmanship.
